Motorcycle Kickstart Classic - What to ride?

The Spring 2012 Motorcycle Kickstart Classic is the first week of May. Not sure what to ride, and am in the wonderful position to pick from a few fine classic bikes.

The theme of the AMCA Denton meet we are riding to is Flatheads. One of the riders along will be Pete Hill - famed dragracer of hot rod, dual carbed Knuckleheads.

Curious what forum members suggest

My vote is for whichever is the most reliable, has been recently ridden and serviced, and stands the best chance of getting you to the end!

I have not ridden the sidecar rig much in the last few years and don't think it makes sense to lead a pack with it as the sidecar really does slow it down - especially up and down the steep mountains and winding roads.

I have to agree with Matt and Scott, ride the VLH. Now that question is, what is Matt and Dale going to ride this year?

I did not add the '36 VLH to the list because there is some work to be done on it before I take it out on the road for a 2-day hike into the mountains. And my wrenching efforts need to be focused on the up-coming Motorcycle Cannonball Harley - which I do not feel will be ready in time for the Motorcycle Kickstart Classic.
