Ahhhhhh!! So......I cleaned out the float bowl and reset the float, tightened up the clamps on manifold, swapped out the plugs for another set, drained out all the gas and filled up with some fresh stuff, re-checked the timing and the points, then fired her up and re-adjusted the carb settings until the engine settled into a nice purr. Yes! Just got back from a little "test ride" to fill up the tanks and run her a bit. Sounds VERY happy compared to the coughing, spitting and popping I was hearing yesterday afternoon!!
