Thread: Virginia moves forward

  1. #1

    Talking Virginia moves forward

The General Assembly just passed and the Gov. will sign two important M/C related laws.

    1. VA riders can now ride two abreast except on 3 wheelers.

    2. The police can not set up M/C only check points.

A couple of other laws also got overturned relating to guns.

    1. VA eliminated the only one gun per month restriction that has been in place for 19 years. They were trying to overturn back rounds check too but weren't able to.

    2. Gun owners can have a gun in their locked car at public/government buildings and places except schools. Still no guns on university property. It must be in a box but doesn't have to be locked and it can not be loaded but the magaizine can be ready/loaded but can not be in the gun.

Of course the liberals wents f'ing nuts about this and claimed Virginia will be the gun running capital of the world.

Good luck! Two abreast riding is about as stupid as it gets on two wheels!
Merely my opinion and 45 years of experience!

I am with you on the two abreast thing and probably won't be doing it my self but I do like having the option and don't like being told what I can and can't do. They have issued tickets at stop lights for waiting two abreast at the light! I think that is ridiculous! I feel the same about helmets, wearing one makes sense and I usually do but don't like folks telling me what's best for me. That's what we have going on now with gumment and how many of you are for it. I for one just want to be left the hell alone. If I scew up thats' on me and if it hurts someone else I have to make it right. If I hurt myself I hope I learn a lesson from it and don't do the same stupid stuff again but sometimes it takes more than once to get the picture but we are all bone heads at times! I do think we are in the Nanny state and they treat us like we are too stupid to know better. The ones that are, usually don't make it. Just look at all the wacky stuff that shows up on youtube. Like they say "you can't fix stupid".

Did they pass the traffic light stopping thing here in Va. If you sit through a red light and it will not change you can go on.
