Wow, that is coming out great! Are you going to do a build thread?
1942 WLA (engine), (not a)WLA, (with some)WLA(parts) Bobber in progress
I look forward to watching your progress and learning from an expert.
IMG_6141.jpgIMG_6142.jpgIMG_6143.jpgI bought this frame at Oley Pa. a few years ago. All the motor mounts, top tank mounts, Top tube, parts of the bottom tube where gone. All fixed now. Motor fits and is straight. One more to put the motor mounts on.
I use these sheet metal cut outs to help me start to get it lined up.The only way to make sure it fits is to put the motor in it. I tack weld the mounts after i get the motor in and lined up then after checking it brass weld them on. The top tank mount is solder on. That is why they all fell off. Solder is only good for 75 years.

Show'em the way T,,,, great job .
IMG_6146.jpgIMG_6147.jpgIMG_6148.jpgIMG_6149.jpgPut the motor mounts on the one frame and just about done with the other one. Here are some pictures the mounts being lined up. I put the top rear mount on and work off that. I line it up and tack weld the mounts to the frame. Check it one more time and bend the mounts into place. I them brass weld them in place just like they did.
Got the top gas tank mounts on both frames and fitted the gas tanks. They both fit just right. Drill new holds to mount the gas tanks on.
Two more motor's to fit in the frames and then I can start put parts on. It's only taken me 20 years to get to this point.
