I was messing with my 1926 Harley the other day, something I suspect I will be doing a lot in this new year. The paint on it might be original or just real old. The gas tank decals are newer VL style, so who knows? Any way, the paint is pretty rough and dry looking.
I remember hearing or reading somewhere about how you can treat the paint with various oils to bring back some of the health and shine. So I shot on some Kriol and gently rubbed it in. It did look better but wonder what the short and long term value or harm this might cause.
Thoughts?
