    1969 flh

Well I asked for a winter project because the k model is going slower then I thought for reasons out of my control. This 69 is what came from the depths of hell!! It's already stripped down and awaiting the grease removal. I hope to have things back and ready for paint in reasonable time. The object here is to make a nice respectable rider like my 68 in the last picture.

Looks like it was parked outside near the ocean for several years....! But it seems like all the unmolested shovels from that era look like that....
Nice project... thanks for the pics..!

What was the antenna for? Looks like you have your work cut out for you! Was it running when you found it?

It must of had a radio at some point in its life, it wasn't running but did have compression. The k model I'm currently working on looked far worse, bikes like these make you want to burn your clothes once there apart. It actually was in a garage with a big hole in the roof, parked right under the big hole.

Glad to see it's in good hands, and am looking forward to see what you do with it!

I did the motor, brakes, tires, clutch and a few other things to the 68 in the last pic to make it my own. Still has the orignal wiring harness and all the other goods, shame someone painted it at one time. At least its old beat paint but an everyday rider which is what I wanted. It gets more miles than my road king.

I've been layin low for awhile with some home projects, but decided it was time to get some sanity back so out to the garage it was.
