Anudder pic for your viewing pleasure. I did want to take a sec and thank Tom Faber for providing a few bits that I needed. And, of course, I could not have made the progress I have without the help and support of the lunatics here so thanks a bunch! T-bone, of course, has been amazing and I can't get through a phone call without a gentle reminder about things I need or tighten or lookout for.

No progress today as Mrs. Big had foot surgery this morning and I've been playin' nurse. Need to get her back on her feet so she can support me properly! I did manage to lose the timer base retainer so if anyone has an extra, let me know. Oh, and I need a windshield if anyone has a lead on a decent one.

thanks for the update Mark. Now that I got my "fix" the rest of the day is certain to fall into place. Gotta pick up my newly mounted tires today so's I can get both my motorcycles off their lifts & back on the ground where they belong. This should also provide some inspiration for the day to go quickly...or drag on forever.

Well, I didn't need to use it when I switched oil tanks but I'm fixin' to douche my gas tanks with it. Stay tuned.......

nukld, I'm the idiot here. Just ask around! Anyhoo, my entire exhaust system was beyond toast (duals) and I'm going back with a single exhaust. I have all the parts I need except the slinky's. I was going to buy some repops but if per chance someone has a decent used set they'd part with I would be interested. Donate, buy or swap works for me.....

Ok kiddies, got a bit more done this weekend. The major thing was a complete mancave cleaning which I accomplished while also serving as trailer trash hillbilly for Mrs. Big's project. At the moment, I'm attempting to rough in the exhaust with a hodge podge of old and repop. I've done some massaging on the repo squish pipe and tryin' to get to line up properly and clear the brake clevis. Looks like I'm sneakin' up on it. Salvaged one of the old mufflers from the dual setup to hang on it but I also have a top secret setup in the works. Stay tuned.......

Fabe, you of all people should understand about having the proper security clearance. But since you do I might just shoot you a preview.

Now for the Metal Rescue report. Works like a champ. Started soaking my tanks this morning around 8 and they were pretty much done in about 6 hours. One tank was mostly some surface rust but the other had some pretty good rusty patches goin' on. I tried to get a before shot but no bueno. I did get a half decent after shot and I'm pleased with the result. I put a gallon in a tank and just rotated it on each side during the day. And the nice part is when your done, just pour it back in the jug and reuse it.
