WLA, yes. "WLH?" No such animal. Never was a WLH built by the Motor Company. Could he be misreading the "A?" Perhaps someone restamped it? Please provide photographs to show the serial number boss.

    I don't have a picture yet.

Never heard of it over here (something new every day when talking about Old Harleys), but I wonder how many may have been built.

You may be able to find photos of at least two 50WLH serial numbers somewhere on that Hydra-Glide forum. Maybe check the gallery there.

And you'll find mention of the 50WLH at post #19 via the link below to a discussion on the AMCA forum. Eric

Hi Sarge, I noticed this thread and have some information on the WLH VIN.
Approximately 52 WLH's were produced in 1950 and delivered to the Netherlands Police.
Until now I've found one complete bike and 5 cases with a nice unaltered VIN and bottom number. The numbers that I’ve seen were all between #1340 and #1390.
I've added some pictures for the experts to decide.

Check this site and the thread regarding the WLH in the forum page. Lots of informations. Mr Palmer wrote a complete article regarding WLH and I thought it was on this site but couldn't find it.

How about any information on the WLJ? A friend has pictures of several sets of cases with WLJ numbers on them.

Hi Chris, I've added a picture of the a 1951 WLJ VIN that I've seen in the Netherlands. Someone polished the first and last numbers of the VIN, but the rest is still in good shape to determine that the VIN is unaltered.
The story goes that these were made for the Japanese! I doubt this, but maybe someone knows the real story behind the WLJ and how many were produced?
