  1. Hi Greg,

    It's quite a job to reverse the DC... I had to re-machine the venturies. There's just enough meat to machine the race venturi backwards. The drg for that is in all the race shop manuals for KR and XLR .

    As for the butterflies, I used Tillotson ones. When you bore for them, this destroys the intermediates holes on top of the carb and the chamber above is now exposed. I had 2 screws made in brass. basically, they are longer than the original, waisted so the iddle mixture can pass through to the iddle, then the transition holes are re-drilled on their bottom... I've got 2 complete throttles assemblies like that but never tried them yet on my KHK, the std set up works well...

    Hey Patrick we seem to be members of a lot of the same forums
    I love your set up I plan to run a single DC7 with the bowl moved to the front side of the carb,the tillitson throttle disc,and the required new idle screws on my 4 5/8" stroker 45 solo with the khk cams and topend,Its mostly put together other then a valve job .Could you please give me easy to follow instructions on how to reverse the float bowl to the opposite side of the carb body?I also plan to run the 40 mm throttle disc.When you say you used new idle chamber screws with intermediate slot to cope with the bigger butterflies.Do you have a part # for them or are they cutsom made.I'm turning into a linkert lover I have 2 M53A1's and a M53 that still has it's bombsight venturi.So here I am begging for you to please share the information with me as I "have" to have my DC7 set up like that.............Greg
