Re: Do You Read It?

I have been a subscriber for many years but I do seem to miss an issue or two between renewals.....I think I need more freindly reminders....when you first came out with the classics I literally framed the ones I liked (even the jap pan Ruiko???) and hung them in the bar / game room down stairs....picture frames are cheap....yes i am sic of the big buck glam bikes but i do like the nicely done dressers.....Donny is great but can be a little overwhelming...some times...i am also a back front middle reader and do read almost all.....

Honesty counts.
Yes, I read it and took out a subscription rite after joining the forum. The reason for subscribing to American Iron is to help support your forum.

Re: Do You Read It?

I was a subscriber for a few years but lost interest. I can only read so many twinkie cam and jug swap articles. Luckily I have a short memory so I can always pick up an old issue and it's all new!

Re: Do You Read It?

I read the magazine once or twice a year just for the vintage iron articles.

I've developed a very narrow view of what a motorcycle should look like and the newer customs don't come close.

I'm addicted to the forum though.

Re: Do You Read It?

I check it out every month on the newstand. I have no interest in new machines or fancy choppers so I flip immediately to the contents to see what old bikes are featured. If they're to my liking I buy the mag. They are usually to my liking....... I'm a real sucker for the old iron......

Re: Do You Read It?

I read from cover to cover. Even the new info on new engines helps me to better understand what I do. I mark things that will apply to one of my bikes i. e. suspension, electrical and then keep them in the garage where I can reference. I usually miss an issue or to because the reminders about renewing are not very good.

Re: Do You Read It?

I like it but like many I have little in common with todays tastes.I own a 94 springer fx that I picked up a few years ago to get back on and find that I try to get a more industrial (functional not pretty) look out of my machine now.I have no interest in ever owning any of the new machines and the prices of parts is really taking the enjoyment out of it.Must be getting old and grotchedy.
