Gerard, I've been busy, and while I saw your post, I couldn't reply. The edge of the hole for the seat is deformed over onto the side of the seat. Sorry, I don't have a camera. Any pics you see of mine have been scanned and posted, and usually taken by someone else.
You don't offend me. You're just doing the best you can "fighting with two dictionaries". We're good.

Good afternoon Trashz. It`s okay, and thanks for your explanation. A very good idea to do so. But it can be done with aluminum only, not with the brittle cast iron.
Well, who knows one day somebody has an old engine to try it out.
