A Taste of Spring in the Northeast

Temperature broke well through 50 this afternoon in CT and you can just feel the riding season coming. I managed to crank over my 57 pan for the first time since last sept/oct and it started up pretty easily for me. I'm able to keep my bikes in my basement since I live on a hill and my garage is actually on the basement level. The oil and batteries stay nice and warm all winter which makes things much easier come springtime. Unfortunately, the bike ran exactly the same as it did that last time I had it out. Sounds great at idle, runs well at lower RPMs, then starts missing and choking for gas as soon as I get up to speed or try to accelerate. Clearly, I need to check my plugs and do some fine tuning on the carb. Will be nice to get this bike running well again. Its my only hardtail and I enjoy the feel (especially after I let some air out of the tires)

Re: A Taste of Spring in the Northeast

Lots of bikes rode past my house today and was hoping one of them was you on your way to visit me.

Perhaps we can sneak out tomorrow morning before the family "needs" us.

Either a coffee run or perhaps Marcus Dairy ride?

I'd be up for either. No obligations that I know of in the morning so lets try and get out there. I actually did ride by your house but looked kinda quiet so I didnt want to intrude. I was under a strict "be home by....." deadline as well so didnt have much time.
