Correct seat for a 53 Hydra-glide

Just picked up a unrestored Highway Patrol 1953 Hydra-Glide.What is the correct solo seat?Is it the 3 piece plain skirted seat,no skirt,or the solo "waterproof plastic seat? Also why are some squash pipe brackets welded on and some are rivet on?Thanks Tom

Repops are welded. Some repops even have phony rivets that don't penetrate the pipe.

The correct Police seat for 53 was a Royalite plastic cover, rolled edge, and 3 piece panolene plastic skirt without spots or rosettes---Michael
