Re: Storyteller?

I know where a convertible one is setting (62 galaxie)... it's white, the top is ripped up and the rats live in there now... I thought about asking the propety owner how much he would pay me to haul that away for him..... ha ha... It is in Vallejo, off Curtola Parkway somewhere.

I'd be interested, right around the corner, and I used to have a white one- I know of another XL ragtop, with all the power options, solid but project, but it's in Porterville- pretty good hike to haul it home- but he'd trade me for my Lincoln Zephyr stuff I have.

Re: Storyteller?

So, how did this thread deteriorate from a motorcycling legend to... what are those anyway, they appear rather large and clunky and have four wheels. I guess that is what normal people refer to as cars. Frankly, I've never given a rats-ass about them...., they seem to look best in junkyards. Rust does wonders for them.

My first "car" was a 62 galaxie Before I got my first bike, i drove around in those clunky things called cars.....
It was only for a couple years before I went from 4 wheels to 2.

License in '79, first truck in '77 first car in 78, first bike in '80
flew a plane in '76

Re: Storyteller?

I had a friend who bought a new '62 Galaxie rag top. 406, tripower, four speed. Blue on blue. A very nice car.

My hardtop is an original G-code 406-405HP 3-deuce car- even though it's a top-of-the-line XL, no power options or auto available- manual steering & brakes, and 4-spd. Solid lifters & factory cast iron headers

And the heavyweight of the fleet, with a 428- this is what the new 3-deuce is going on

Re: Storyteller?

Did someone remove the original 3-duece? is that why you needed to get a 'new' one? if so, that's cool to get it back to original parts.
