Hello from MO

Hi I'm new to the forum and thought I'd introduce myself.

I go by Randy and live in South Central Missouri near Fort Leonard Wood. I retired from the Army about 14 years ago and have been riding since 1967 when I bought my first bike (age 10) a Bridgestone 50. I've owned many bikes since and have owned a 1945 HD WL and a 1947 Servi car. I currently ride a 2007 Ultra Classic. I miss my old bikes and should never have gotten rid of them, but moving ever few years in the service and raising a family, it was hard to keep them.

I have recently purchased a 1957 Servi car in rough shape, the story I was given it once was used as a drag bike back in the 60's at National Speedway on Long Island, NY. There have been many modifications made to it, some good some bad (in my opinion) so I have a lot of work to do. I have some experience working on old bikes but it's been many years and I'm going to have many questions.

Thanks for having a place like this, I hope I can learn and possibly help others.

Re: Hello from MO

Thanks I added my first post in the 36-64 forum with links to pics Whenever the mods get around to approving the thread the pics will be there for all to criticize on "how could someone do that to a nice old bike" And no I didn't do it, but am planning on fixing it!

Lots of Servicar owners and riders here and most should prove to be supportive and full of valuable info.
