Sweaters

Hi Gang,

If anyone is looking for perfect replicas of sweaters, check these guys out. Oddball Motor Wear. They say they'll be expanding their line. The guys are reenactors out in California.

I recently got their "Harley Style Sweater" which is an excellent copy of the "competition sweater". It doesn't have the "Harley-Davidson" of course but I'm sure due to legal issues they chose not to. In a few months I'm getting one of their club sweaters too.

It fits really snugly, just like period images. I got another competition sweater last fall from another company but it fit like a modern sweater in that is was loose and roomy.

Re: Sweaters

I believe there are a number of companies offering similar but different takes on the old motorcycle clothing of the past.

I have seen wool, cotton and leather motorcycle gear made to look and work like the old items.

Re: Sweaters

I have been trying for a long time to find the old style riding pants. The ones that blouse out at the thighs and tuck into tall boots. Like the ones WWII German officer rode. They were the old style horse riding pants but they are sking tight now. Any one out there have a clue? Even the Cossacks supplies quit furnishing them. Fossil

Re: Sweaters

Hey All,

I've been riding Indian Motorcycles for 20 years and always wanted a Indian race sweater but they were always about 1K on ebay or too small, so about 5 years ago I started researching and came across Dehen of Portland, one of the few remaining American Heritage brands, Dehen have been making racing sweaters for 89 years

They dusted off their original patterns and made me a run of Indian red and cream sweaters exactly how they were done back in the day featuring slim cut 1940's style and finished with historically-accurate details like chain-stitched embroidery. The response from those was so great that we decided to go into business with Dehen to reissue their line of original motorclothes as well as full custom work, these can be found at

Gasoline Cowboys M.C.

Gasoline Cowboys are proud to be making the AMCA club sweater for this winter. Apart from doing custom club sweaters we have our first range of ready to wear sweaters now available.

attached is a photo of a green and orange AMA sweater recently done.

All products are Heirloom quality clothing still built tough in the USA

cheers Dave
