Local hardware acquaintance dug this out. He says this is his Father on his Knuck. Note his apparel. Paps |

Ain't always you can identify the exact year of the bike. A '47 Knuckle with many of the bells and whistles: spotlights, fr. fender light, extra chrome. And I think a '47 Chevy P/U in the background; and both look brand new. Southern Cal? Thanks for sharin', Pa!

The truck is of the 1948-53 variety, since it doesn't have the corner windows that were introduced in..... what year, 1951?? that would make it a '48-'50.

I always liked the looks of the earlier cab best, more privacy too...

Robbie | I saw what looked like a Knuckle nut on the front head, peekin' over the crashbar, but on 2nd look, you think it might be a Pan? What the H is that little "loop," then? If it's a Pan, with the Springer, that would make it only a '48, of course.
Ya can't believe yor own eyes, ennymore.

Bigincher,
The Chevy trucks from 48-53 had the rear corner windows available as an option as I used to own a 48 Chevy pick-up with them. Also the 48 pick-up was the last year for the gas tank under the bed, in 49 it was moved behind the seat.

Robbie | Yeah, that's a Knuckle, Robbie. i blew it up on my screen (can't get it to post zoomed-in / oversized, to the forum) but it has two Knuckle rocker-end nuts.
