Try Harbor Vintage. I'm sure he'd tackle it for you.

Re: Schebler Carb Repair

"Into-The-Wilderness" offers all the special size taps and dies on thier website. If it's just a matter of cleaning up the threads, that's something a proficient home mechanic should be able to handle just fine. If the material is actually missing and there ARE no threads, then you'd want to contact the resources mentioned above by Mike.
Incidentally, anyone working on these old carbs should use ONLY hollow-ground screwdrivers on them, such as gunsmiths use. Brownell's offers a complete selection, and just within the past few days, Into-The-Wilderness now offers them, also.
(No, I have no connection with ITW, but I purchase various carb and wheel hub small parts from him regularly, and they ship fast!)

Re: Schebler Carb Repair

Big said: hollow-ground screwdrivers

They should be used everywhere, in stead of those stupid factory tapered ground which slip out and destroy the screws. I grind all my screwdrivers myself, and they never slip....

Re: Schebler Carb Repair

As far as the Bowl Nut, I am a Cheapskate so I would probably chuck the carb up in the Lathe and re thread it to a Smaller size and then make a new bowl nut that looks the same on the outside, but fits the smaller threads.
