Re: 36 Indian stop light switch

Mike 337, Thanks for the picture. From that info I found out my switch I purchaded on ebay must be from a Model A ford, which are similar I believe. I can make my switch look lile the indian by a simple mod. Is there a brass bushing on both ends? Thanks again. Do you have a 37 chief? stan

Re: 36 Indian stop light switch

Chris I am one of the 1% that haven't figured how to post pictures yet. From your model A switch picture it is not close, the switch looks like the one pictured here except the mounting tab is longer and the mounting holes don't match. If I cut the excess tab off and redrill the hole it will be a close match. If you want to look on ebay there is still a picture of the switch 370215144259. Thanks stan

Re: 36 Indian stop light switch

Morning Stan,

You might want to try Jerry Greer's Engineering, I ordered most of my parts from them, great folks. Here is the link to the switch page:

Jerry Greer's Engineering and Indian Motorcycle Parts & Accessories 1936 - 1953 -

They are also rebuilding a 336, here is that link, has some good shots of the switch:

Yes I almost have a 337, we worked to 0300 last night, as soon as i get two cable clips it should be ready to fire...just in time for summer!!!

Mike
