Unhappy First time in 51 years of riding

This past Saturday Me and my 49 Pan were involved in an accident.
I ended up with a separated shoulder and bruised ribs. The bike is repairable so all in all I guess I was lucky.
The lady driving the car "did not see me" so she turned left as I was passing, I did a glancing blow off her front fender and a diving slide to a stop .
As I said the Pan can be fixed (see Pic's) Reason I'm writing is to ask if anyone out there has an orignal front fender and front crash bar. I know I can get these from JP or Antique Cycle but I would prefer NOS or clean used.
Any help would be appreciated.
Dennis

Really sorry to learn of this accident but sounds like you and the bike came out OK. Same exact accident scenario happened to me 35 years ago except in that case the bike was totaled, my leg broken in 5 places and need skin grafts from sliding as this happened at 45 MPH - good news is the insurance paid for my college education and I was permanently disqualified from the Vietnam era draft - kept me off bikes for 10 years but back in the saddle since 1982.

Good luck in you healing - I'm sure the bike will be stunning when it is repaired - you on the other hand will remain the same old dude you were before

I'm sorry to hear this, but darn glad you're able to tell about it. Many are not so fortunate.

Imagine the damage to the bike if you hadn't had the crash bars.........

That fender isn't beyond repair by a good bodyman.

Yes. Not all '49 fenders were welded.

Glad your still around to tell about it, much rather hear warnings from the rider than read about him from someone that knew him, sounds like your getting plenty of help here on the parts. Spike
