lets see what others might have. | I did my Iron Butt 1,000 from Simi Valley, CA miles up and down I 5 and over and back US 50 to South Lake Tahoe, NV in 18 hours. I was the first to qualify for membership in the Iron Butt Association on a sidecar.
I earned my first Harley-Davidson 100,000 mile pin back in '82.
'82 was also the year that I was one of the long distance riders on the MoCo'c Two Flag's endurance run. Two brand new, out of the crate, Electra Glides had every adjustment and tank sealed, except the gas tank. These bikes were ridden around the clock from Vancover, BC to Daytona Beach, FL VIA Los Angeles. One bike used no oil and the other a 10th of a pint. No adjustment were needed on anything. One bike had its rear belt autopsied and the steel cable from inside the belt was attached to the bike, hooked to a crane, and the bike hung by it over the Holiday Inn at Daytona all during bike week.
If I remember correctly the time was about 78 hours and 45 minutes from start to finish.

i have 136,000 miles on my 1985 superglide, and she was not ridden for 7+ years. 3 engines, 2 transmissions, and 3 full ground ups. she does 12.5 in the 1/4 mile all day long. i consider it one of the last real harleys. 4 speed, kick / electric, chain drive and solid mount engine.
i really need to ride it more!

My 67 FLH has 118K on it. It had 44K when I got it in '84. It has not been riden since '03 and only 1K since '00 because of the not-so-good noises that was coming from the motor. It is currently in the shop for a rebuild.
I had 25K on my 1st street bike and about 25K (undocumented since it never did have a speedo) on my 1st Harley, a 63 Pan. It was a pretty ratty chopper when I got it. In those days I was takin' it apart every year painting it and making changes.

It seems to me the days I have riden more than 400mi. were more like work than fun, 300 mi. a day and I'm in my happy place. Granted the first day or two getting to where the cool stuff is are long days, to tell the truth a Buffalo Wyoming blast furnace is no vacation....

I didn't think it was a contest, this "mileage" deal....
Long road trips is the reason I was born, I figure I've logged something like 250,000 lifetime miles on 2 wheels, but when you divide that by the number of years I've been doing it, it's less than 10k a year. I have only owned 5 bikes my whole life, 4 of which I still own. And one of which I have amassed a whopping 2 miles on so far.
What was the question again? What size shorts do I wear??
(rolls eyes)

Or maybe the prize was a pair of shorts!

(rolls eyes) | So what bike has the whopping 2 miles on it?
My 1947 Knuck, which I have not ridden in 2 or 3 years, had a little over 120,000 miles on it when we rebuilt the engine back in 1998 before I rode it cross country to Milwaukee fo the 95th anniversary. But I would guess I put perhaps 20,000 miles on that bike all together.
